Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an appealing history to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just over the border from neighboring Thailand, where gambling den gambling is not allowed. Eight casinos are based in a generally small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent spot, a 3 to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The amazing income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few limitations requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; however, investment sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 17:00, and even though visas are apparently necessary to cross, there are ways around this, as is true of many borders.

The original Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary boat gambling den, features 150 slot machine games and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling hall is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of chemin de fer, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are 150 one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machines and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machines and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and sixty six of the familiar tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around resort and hotel compound that contains a number of comforts on top of the gambling den, which provides ten thousand square feet of 130 slot machine games and eighty eight gaming tables.
